A grandiose crossing of the Pamir massif, one of the most isolated regions in the world. 30 days of wild panoramas, including 18 days of trekking. From passes to summits, from lakes to valleys, we reach the famous Wakhan corridor and its views of the surrounding 7,000 m.

This complete crossing is also available in two separate journeys of 18 days each for travellers who cannot devote the 30 days needed to complete this already legendary crossing.

- Day 1 Flight Paris-Dushanbe (900m)
  - Layover in Istanbul, arrival in Dushanbe by night
- Day 2 Arrival in Dushanbe and drive to Qalai-Khumb (1,600 m)
  - Transport in private vehicles along the legendary Pamir Highway
- Day 3 Qalai-Khumb - Dasht (2,000m)
  - Transport to the Bartang valley, the starting point of our trek
- Day 4 From Dasht to Barshidiv (2,600m)
  - Preparations and gentle acclimatisation!
- Day 5 - Day 15 Departure for our first major 11-day trek in wilderness territory
  - Remote valleys and oasis villages, encounters with Pamiris shepherds, discovery of numerous high altitude lakes, passes and breathtaking panoramas.
- Day 16 Bachor (3,200m)
  - Rest day and meeting with the villagers.
- Day 17 From Bachor to Jelondy (2,600m)
  - Short transfer and rest at the Jelondy hot springs.
  - Overnight at the hotel.
- Day 18 - Day 24 Departure for our 7-day trek
  - Meeting with Pamiri people in shepherds’ camps

- Nights in homestays in a traditional Pamiri house: you sleep in a common area which is also used as a meeting and eating space. Women and men sleep in separate areas. The architecture of the Pamiri house and the local culture may make you feel a lack of intimacy. But you are at the heart of the Pamiri culture !

Stéphanie Besson Hautes-Alpes, France / Patagonia

Over the past 25 years, Stéphanie Besson has lived between her native Hautes-Alpes and Patagonia. Attracted by the strength and raw beauty of the landscapes, Patagonia and its inhabitants welcomed her one day, during one of her travels. From that moment on, she never stopped exploring this region, which abounds in unexplored corners. She then chose to become a naturalist mountain guide to share her knowledge of the area. It’s a profession that has become a passion, and one in which she enjoys provoking encounters and raising awareness of the issues of our time, and to share with the travelers she accompanies. She describes her approach to Patagonia in her book Patagonia (Les clefs pour bien voyager, Glenat, 2024). She is adept at long-distance travel, with a particular attraction for remote territories where the virginity and ruggedness of nature combine with the vitality of local cultures. It was by bicycle that she set out to discover the hospitality and landscapes of Central Asia. She now accompanies tours off the beaten track, with the same approach. A campaigner for human rights in France, she is also the author of Trouver Refuge, histoires vécues par delà les frontières (Hommes et Montagne, Glenat, 2020).

I grew up in the Pamir region of Tajikistan, in the Ishkashim district to be precise. I studied at the State University in Dushanbe, the country's capital, and specialised in international tourism and entrepreneurship. Today, I live in the Pamirs and work in the tourism sector. I'm delighted to be accompanying you on the Great Pamir Crossing!
